This is my journey of self-discovery and recovery. There are a lot of things that weigh me down, but I'm fighting, and I will win. :) This blog is all about inspiring myself and others. My goal in life is simply to help people, so if you ever need anyone, I'm here.
Always.

2 kids from my school were in a really bad car accident recently. Eric and Duncan are both juniors. I have a couple classes with Duncan, and I’ve actually become friends with him this year. As far as I know, Eric is alright. Duncan, not so great. Their car was t-boned. Duncan hasn’t woken up for a long period of time yet, but apparently managed to give his dad a thumbs up. There’s no brain damage, just a pretty bad head injury so they’re waiting for the swelling to go down in his brain. He still needs help breathing, and will be out of school for a least a month.

Guys, I’m terrified. As I’m getting older, these incidents are hitting closer to me. When I was in 7th grade, all the accidents that occurred with high schoolers were scary and I was concerned for them, but know I actually know these people. I knew Mr. Casterline. I knew Matt. I know Eric. I’m friends with Duncan. These things are so much closer to me and it’s hard to imagine the same kid I was talking to and joking with in chem on Friday is now hooked up to machine to help him breathe.

Duncan, please stay strong. I need you and your beard back in chem to make jokes and laugh with me and Joey. :)
